David L. Piercy, 68, passed away on May 26, 2017 at his home in Port Orchard. He was born on April 12, 1949 to Donald and Doris (Mortenson) Piercy in Harvey, North Dakota. He grew up in Port Orchard and graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1968. After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and served for three and a half years in Saigon and off the coast of Vietnam stationed aboard the USS Truxton and the USS Clarion River. David was always interested in cars. He liked Corvettes and Mustangs, as well as older, classic cars like the 57 Chevy! He could tell you all about them, including details that most people wouldn’t even notice. He kept track of Nascar Racing and he enjoyed watching the Seahawks and the Mariners.
David was a special person. He was kind, generous and a very caring person with a big heart and a good sense of humor. He had a unique way of saying things which made family times lots of fun. He loved his family very much and of course we loved him too, and will miss him every day. He had many good friends and he enjoyed their visits and was thankful for their help.
He is survived by his sister Donna; brothers Darryl (Janice), Dean (Sheryl); nieces Carrie, Erin and Emilie; nephews Chris, Marshal, and Brian.
