David Peter Scott, 66, died at his home in Port Orchard, Washington on September 10, 2015. He was born July 31, 1949 in Auckland, New Zealand to Helen & Peter Scott.
David was a Vietnam veteran having served in the U. S. Army. He worked at Westbay Auto for 28 years and was recently retired. Dave was a history buff and enjoyed working in the yard and smoking fish. He restored his 1968 Charger with friend John and was very proud of the results.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, boating and trips in his motorhome with his family. David and Charmaine traveled to many places and frequently spent time locally - Blake Island and Lake Cushman were his favorites. Once while camping on Blake Island with the family, David woke up in the middle of the night to find his boat was missing. He saw a boat far off in the water – he ran to the end of the island and yes, it was the boat coming back to the island with the tide. It came back right in front of their campsite.
Surviving are his wife Charmaine of 31 years; children Jonathan (Michelle) Scott, Erika (DJ) McKenzie, Anastasia (Trever) Johnson, Matthew (Katie) Hunters; mother Helen Scott; siblings Brian (Kathy) Scott and Barbara (Dale) Miltimore; granddaughters Rylie Scott, Abbie, Hallie & Lexie Hunter, Emily Berg, Shaylyn & Keira McKenzie, Olivia & Tabitha Johnson. David was preceded in death by his father Peter Scott.
Dave was loved by his family and friends and will be missed dearly.
Celebration of Life at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 18, 2015 at Rill’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard.
