David A. Wellington, 70, of Port Orchard died February 10th of a heart attack at his residence. He was born September 25, 1942 in Coeur d'Alene, ID to Arthur and Virginia (Hunt) Wellington and later married Mary Ellen Donovan in Lacey, Wa. Mr. Wellington served in the US Navy from 1960-1981 as a Chief Storekeeper 2nd class and retired in 2010 as a Contractor for the Naval Base Seattle. He was a member of Peninsula Bible fellowship and the NRA, a Cub scout leader and loved to hunt, fish & camp. Survivors include his daughter - Heather (Nate) Potter. Two brothers - Michael & Dennis Currey. A sister Robbi Currey of Olympia and 6 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Mary Ellen in 2007. Services will be 5:30pm March 4th at Peninsula Bible Fellowship. Private Inurnment will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Or. under direction of Rill's Life Tribute Center.
