David Thompson Whitehead

David T. Whitehead, 80, beloved husband of Angie, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many, died January 18, 2015 at home in Port Orchard, Washington from cancer.

David was born November 4, 1934 in Missoula, Montana to Richard and Bertha. He went into the Air Force in September 1951 and married Angela on July 2, 1955 in England.

While stationed in England with his new bride, he played softball for USAF, winning the UK championship. He was also club custodian for the Rod and Gun Club Fairford AFB. His interests and hobbies included hunting, fishing, coin collecting, photography, watch repair, cross word puzzles and camping. He was also a very good cook.

David is survived by his wife Angela; son and daughter-in-law Dana and Louise; two grandchildren Lena and Daniel; and sister and brother Maudie and Richard (Nibs). He is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Bertha.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Rill’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard at 2:00 pm on March 6, 2015. Online memorial at www.rill.com
