Dean Morey

Dean Morey was born November 21, 1894 in Medford, OR to Rolla and Ina Morey.  He was raised in Portland, OR.  Dean's most recent job was with Pacific Northwest Bell where he  worked for 33 years.  He retired in 1959 from the position of supervisor of the mail room.  Dean also worked for The Oregonian in Oregon prior to this position.  He was active in many clubs and organizations including being the precinct committee man and overseeing political activities at the local and state level in Oregon.  Dean was active with the Willamalaners Senior Citizens Center and he sang in the Barber Shop Chorus for over 20 years.  His wife, Ida Elizabeth Koski, preceded him in death in 1978.  Dean is survived by his sons Royce Morey, Verne Morey, Norman Morey, daughter Zelda Mortimer, and 12 grandchildren, numerous great and great great grandchildren.  Arrangements were handled by Rill Chapel at Pendleton Gilchrist Funeral Home.
