Debra Finney

Debra Lynn Finney, 49 of Port Orchard died September 8th of Cancer. She was born June 4, 1960 in Bremerton to John and Jacqueline Tomizek. She graduated from South Kitsap HS in 1978 and from Olympic College in 1991 with a degree in Nursing. She married Wendell Finney August 10, 1991 in Port Orchard. She worked for 13 years as a Nurse at Mary Bridge and SK School District. She was a member of Chapel Hill Presbyterian Church in Gig harbor and volunteered at Orchard Heights and E.P.O. Elementary Schools. She loved her pets Beau, Toby, Cooper, Ally, Chloe, Jude and Penelope; loved to sing, paint, write books, songs and poetry, the ocean and hot air ballooning. She is survived by her loving husband Wendell; father John Tomizek of OR; sons T.J. Heitmann (Melissa) of Bothell, and Thadeus Finney of Port Orchard; daughter Krista Heitmann of Bellevue; brother Rick Barnes of OR; sisters Nancy Shelton (Nickey) of TN, Donna Waring (Gary) of IA and Tammy Elledge (Gary) of OR. Memorial service is at Chapel Hill Presbyterian Church in Gig Harbor, Saturday, September 12th at 4:00 pm.
