Debra Marie Nopp

August 2, 1956 — February 16, 2015

Debra M. Nopp, 58, died at her home in Bremerton, WA on February 16, 2015. She was born August, 2, 1956 in Bremerton. She was preceded in death by her parents Betty and Leo Westermann. She married to Donald E. Nopp on November 12, 1983.
Surviving are husband Donald; son Brian (Amanda) and grandson Conrad Nopp; twin sister Darlene (Dean) Neshem; brothers Mike (Sabrina), David (Darleen) and Jim (Camille) Westermann, all of Bremerton;many nieces, nephews, other relatives and too many friends to count.
Debra and her twin sister, Darlene Neshem, learned to be very helpful to their mother & father at an early age. They both are and have been great cooks, mothers and wives. Early in age they both tagged along with their dad Leo, and brothers as well as the other Scouts on outings, as their dad was a Scout leader. Those girls learned and did everything the boys did on hikes short and long. So Debbie was the perfect woman for me, even though I wasn’t in the Scouts. We as a family (and extended) went on as many camping trips as possible. Much fun was had by all, summer or winter. We road dual sport motorcycles in summer and snowmobiles in the winter.
Debbie loved photography. Her many pictures are professional quality, and some have won awards. Her love of animals and scenery was very apparent through her photography. She also loved working on her cookbook, “Debbie’s Ol-Blue Plate Special“, and was really talented in adjusting them for camp cooking as well as at home. When we went camping 1-2 weeks at a time, we never had to worry if dinner was going to be good or not, there was no doubt it would be delicious. She loved to share her pictures and recipes on her website, Family Camping Chat (also see Facebook), and at RV.net.

Debbie was very talented and creative as a home decorator and gardener as well. She planned out the landscaping around our home as well as the décor inside, all of which made our house a warm and comfortable home.

Debra was always the Peace-Maker of the family. She could always wade through, given enough time, to get to the common ground of an issue. She would keep me out of trouble that way, as much as reasonably possible.

Remember - Tomorrow is always a blessing, but never promised.

Rosary and Mass will be held to honor Debra on Tuesday Feb. 24, 2015 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, on Veneta in Bremerton WA. Rosary is from 10:30-10:50 a.m., Mass is 11:00-11:45 a.m., followed by a Reception at 12: Noon in the Church Center across the street.
