Delano Thompson

Delano E. Thompson, 63, of Port Orchard, Washington died June 4, 2001 at Allenmore Hospital in Tacoma, Washington. Mr. Thompson was born June 29, 1937 in Hibbing, Minnesota to Herman & Martha (Kupari) Thompson.Delano attended High School in Hibbing. He was in the US Navy from 1954 until 1978 when he retired as a Chief Gunners Mate. He was awarded the Vietnam Service Metal, after Del retired from the Navy he worked as a handyman. Del enjoyed Flower Gardening and was a avid Outdoorsman.Surviving is his Companion Beverly Randall of Port Orchard; sister Delores Johnson of Duluth, Minnesota; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
