Delmar "Del" Levoy Tilton of Port Orchard, Washington died of natural causes after a long battle with multiple illnesses. He died June 7, 2004 in Bremerton, Washington. He was born November 19, 1932 in Bozeman, Montana to Dwight and Motie (Dorrell) Tilton. "Del" married Doris (Campbell) Tilton in Kenmore, Washington on August 22, 1998. He graduated from Bothel Sr. High School in Bothell, Washington in 1950; and, graduated from Chapman College in Orange, California in 1972. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1950 - 1976 attaining rank of Lieutenant Commander (LCDR). He served in the U.S. Navy Medical Service Corps for 27 years - retiring in 1976. He also worked as Executive Director of King County Emergency Medical Services (Medic One); established training program for Paramedics at Harborview and nationally while in Washington, D.C. "Del" was very proud of his submarine Dolphins; enjoyed "rock-hounding', fishing, his farm and his dog Jake. He was Protestant. Delmar is survived by his wife - Doris (Campbell) Tilton of the Port Orchard, Washington family home; Sons - Robert Tilton (& wife, Linda) of Bremerton, Steven Tilton (& wife, Nina) of Richland, Washington, Danny Tilton of Bullhead, Arizona; brother - Bill Bartmess (& wife, Carol) of Everett, Washington; sister - Joyce Packard (& husband, Jim) of Kenmore, Washington; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents - Dwight and Motie (Dorrell) Tilton and by daughter - Linda J. Tilton. A funeral service will be held at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard, Washington on Saturday, June 12, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. Internment will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington on Monday, June 14, 2004 at 12:30 p.m. Memorial Donations may be made to: Hope Heart Institute 1710 E.
