Delmer William Perdue, 47, died at his home in Bremerton, Washington on August 17, 2006. He was born in Vinita, Oklahoma on October 21, 1958 to Jolley Ray & Patricia Mae (Shaw) Perdue. He graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1977. Delmer worked for 18 years as a Wharfbuilder at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, retiring in 1998. He was a member of T.O.P.S. in Port Orchard. He loved being with his family and friends and his only granddaughter "Mackenzie". He enjoyed baseball, football, horse racing, car racing and all sports. Delmer loved the "River" property. Surviving are his daughter Melissa (Ben) VonRuden of Port Orchard; mother Pat Perdue of Bremerton; brothers Dean (Sherry) Perdue and David (Teresa Lipps) Perdue, both of Port Orchard; sister Julie (Cary) Kier of Jay, Oklahoma; granddaughter Mackenzie Rae VonRuden; extended family Marge Shaw, Mary Shaw, aunt & uncle Sandy & George Payne of Washington State, JD & Sandra Perdue of Jay, Oklahoma, Donna Reece of Jay, Oklahoma, Darlene & Bill Harp of Florida, and a lot of nieces & nephews. Delmer loved everyone! He was preceded in death by his father Jolley; grandparents Bill & Vivian Shaw and Jeff & Quida Perdue; aunt & uncle Linda & William Andersen; cousin Monica Andersen; and uncle Danny Perdue. Memorial service on August 23, 2006 at 12:00 Noon at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard with inurnment following at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard.
