Demetria Martinez Garcia

Demetria Martinez Garcia, 73, was born July 22, 1943 in Victoria Laguna, Philippines to Vicente & Felicidad Martinez and passed away May 2nd, 2017.

Migrated to the United States April of 1992. She was a cook at Green Valley Restaurant for ten years and Eileen’s Filipino Restaurant for five years, both in Port Orchard, WA. In between, she worked as a cook helper & food vendor at the Farmers Market every Saturday during the summer for 8 years.

Married to Genaro Garcia for more than forty-seven years who survived her along with five children, two sons and three daughters, 12 grandchildren, a sister, and brother. Her children, first son Jaime (Leah) Garcia and children Kim, Marjo, and Loven of the Philippines. Second daughter Jeaneth (Edwin) Javier and children Jillian, Jordan, and Jiselle of Port Orchard. Third daughter Josephine (Arnold) Delapena and children Ariella, Aleah, and Azel of Yokosuka Japan. Fourth daughter Cherry (Alfonso) Medina and child Alfonso the IV of San Diego. Fifth son Gilbert (Vanny) Garcia and child Gaia of Auburn. Sister Digna Martinez of Winnipeg Canada. Brother Romeo Martinez of the Philippines.

Demetria was preceded by parents Vicente and Felicidad Martinez, brother Pedro Martinez, sisters Naty Manipul , and Mely Pores.
