Dennis Anderson

Mr. Dennis Dean Anderson; Age: 52, died at his residence in Port Orchard on December 28, 2001.He was born in Bremerton, Washington on June 22, 1949 to Melvin Anderson and Darlene(Fisher)Anderson. Dennis joined the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and achieved the rank of Seaman Apprentice.Dennis worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for thirty two years, and was a member of Local 302. He greatly enjoyed fishing, golfing, and refinishing antiques.He is survived by his mother, Darlene Anderson of Port Orchard; his son, Dennis D. Anderson II of Port Orchard; daughters, Sheila Hann of Sparks, Nevada and Cheryl Townson of Granite Falls, Washington; brothers, Howard A. Anderson of Gig Harbor, and Ralph M. Anderson of Tacoma, Washington; Sister, Kristen L. Anderson of Port Orchard, and Carol P. Anderson of Bainbridge Island, Washington; and five grandchildren.A memorial service in Mr. Anderson's honor is scheduled for Thursday, January 3, 2002 at 2:00 p.m., at Rill Chapel. Chaplain Tim Roth will be officiating. A reception will follow at Rill Chapel. Private inurnment is scheduled for January 4, 2002 at Fraola Cemetery.All arrangements are under direction of Rill Chapel, Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home in Port Orchard.
