Dennis Gardner

Dennis Willard Gardner, 60 of Port Orchard, Washington died in Bremerton, Washington on November 12, 2007. He was born December 28, 1946 in Seattle, Washington to Willard & Ruth Ann (Woodard) Gardner. He graduated from Ballard High in 1964 and from the University of Guam with a Bachelor's degree in 1977. Dennis married Juanita O. Young on August 7, 1982 in Richmond, California. Dennis worked as a Software Designer and Database Administrator for Amazon.com. He served in the United States Navy from 1965 to 1979 as a DS1. He was awarded the Purple Heart, Air Medal, Vietnam Campaign medal, Armed Forces Edpeditionary Medal (Korea), and Vietnamese Air Gallantry Cross with Bronze Wings medal. Dennis enjoyed boating, antique cars, his grandkids, friends & family. Surviving are his loving wife Juanita; mother Ruth Ann Gardner of Mukilteo, Washington; sons Darin (Lesa) Gardner & Phillip Gardner, both of Bonney Lake, Washington, Damian Gardner of Bainbridge Island, Washington, and Jeremy Kerr of Port Orchard; daughter Melissa (James) Kerr McCullough of Port Orchard; brother Dan (Sandy) Gardner of Mukeltio; grandchildren: Nicole, Chase & Ryan Gardner, Liana Andersen, Justin & Logan Kerr.
