Devon J. Mercado

Devon Lewis J. Mercado, two month old son of Chana J. Deloris Mercado and Jeremy David Anema, died on February 8, 2002.Devon was born on December 4, 2001.He is survived by his parents, and a brother Alec L.Dionnie Mercado; grandparents, Carrie and Russell Abad of Bremerton, Washington; and Mr. and Mrs. Anema of California.The following is a dedication to Devon by his big brother, Alec.DevonI met a little angel so small and new,He smelled like flowers and new rain dew.I wished for him to come and play, Hoping that he would always stay.I told him secrets and talked to him.I kissed and hugged him everyday.I know my angel was kind and true, Cause he not only loved me but you.I told him how to play ball,I read him stories from out of my books.He liked the pictures and he gave me looks.Sometimes I ask mommy what the words were writtenShe helped us read the end of the book,And a sleep we both took.In the morning I woke so sad that day,Because my little angel had went away.My hugs were sad my heart was broken,My little angel that had been so close to me was taken to heaven,To have fun with God and Jesus and everyone.A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 18, 2002, at 6:00 p.m., at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard, Washington. Pastor Larry Roberts will be officiating.A viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2002 from 9:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M., at Rill Chapel.Arrangements are under direction of Rill Chapel, Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home and Crematory.
