Diana Irene Bauman Taylor, 52, of Moses Lake WA, was called home to be with Jesus in the early morning hours of March 10th, 2014 at Harbor View Medical Center in Seattle WA. Diana was born February 9th, 1962 in Salem Oregon, and at the age of one and a half her family moved to Washington. She is a 1980 graduate of South Kitsap High School.
Diana is survived by her son Alex, 32 (Bryn) Bauman, Seabeck; her grandchildren Alex Jr. (Deuce) 5 and Eleanor 20 months Bauman; Daughter Maranda Burnell 17, Moses Lake WA; Parents Glenn and Carol Bauman, Port Orchard; Sister Debra (John) Bauman Newberry, Weiser, ID.; Brothers, Chuck (Shannon) Bauman, Southworth; Jeff (Andrea) Dunton, Dallas OR.; Aunts and Uncles, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends who love her.
She touched many, this was a proven fact by the over 90 posts on her social media page. Some of the comments included: fun spirited, strong, sweet, wonderful, beautiful, crazy, and spunky; honored to have known her; she was a mentor and mother figure, her smile and infectious laugh will be greatly missed. This quote describes who she was: “Everyone was thinking it, I just said it.”
On Nov 2, 2013 Diana wrote “TODAY!! I have 10 years clean! PRAISE GOD and thank Narcotics Anonymous!!! Celebrating at the meeting Thursday. Without all of you, family and friends I would have never been able to stay clean a day, thank you All.” Narcotics Anonymous saved her life 10 years ago, and it has been the focal point of her existence ever since. She was blessed and helped by so many in the organization, and she in returned was a blessing and mentor to many. Her story and presence in this group will be greatly missed by so very many, she was loved and admired by the friends she developed here.
A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 Saturday, April 5th, at the Bremerton Church of the Nazarene 924 Sheridan Rd.
