Diane Smith

Diane M. Smith, 74 of Port Orchard, Washington died on March 29, 2008. She was born October 7, 1933 in San Francisco, California to Forrest R. & Ann M. (Funk) Dunlap. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education in 1955 in San Francisco. Diane married James F. Smith on September 14, 1968 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Diane was an Elementary School Teacher in San Francisco from 1955 to 1968. She was also a homemaker who loved to read all types of books. She was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard. Surviving are her husband James; daughters Cathy (Bart) Warrington of Port Orchard, Beth Harris of Miami, Florida, and Ellen (Terry Link) Smith of Miami, Florida; twin sister Ann Foley of San Francisco, sister-in-law Carole Dunlap of Santa Rosa, California; and brother-in-law Michael Hoctor of Nebraska. She was preceded in death by brother Forrest "John" Dunlap, sister Mary Hoctor, brother-in-law Gerald Foley, & son-in-law Daniel Harris. Funeral Mass at 12:00 noon on April 2, 2008 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard. Interment at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA at 1:30pm on April 3, 2008.
