Donald R. Clark passed away on April 18, 2017 at home in Port Orchard, Washington with his wife by his side.
Don was born on November 5, 1946 to Lois Rodney Clark and Iotress Fielder in Cleveland, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Annie Frank "Lady" Fielder, and his brother Palmer Fielder.
Don grew up in Cleveland, Ohio where he lived with his mother. He spent summers with his extended family in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He graduated from East Tech High School in 1963, then joined the U.S. Navy. His naval career spanned 24 years. He traveled the world serving his country. When he retired from the Navy, he worked another 20 years for the Washington State Ferries, where he was well loved and described as "a joy to be around." He met his wife Shannon in 2001 and continued to enjoy his travels with her.
He is survived by his wife Shannon Clark, sons Aaron Clark of Cleveland, Ohio; Levi Harshman, John Harshman, and Trevor Harshman of Washington State; granddaughter Ava Thorne Harshman; brothers Otress (Ricky) Fielder of Cleveland, Ohio, and Ananias Fielder of Chattanooga, Tennessee; cousin Johnny Clark and family; nieces Vickie, Pam, Terri and Sherrae; nephew Anthony. He is lovingly remembered by his extended family of Chattanooga, Tennessee (Owens).
A memorial service will be held on Saturday April 29, 2017 at 11 AM at Rill Chapel, 1151 Mitchell Ave, Port Orchard, WA 98366.
