Donald Hudspeth

Donald Charles Hudspeth of Port Orchard, Washington died at Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton, Washington December 14, 2005, due to Heart Failure. He was born January 3, 1940 in El Centro, California to Lea D. (Dickerson) Balbach and Robert E. Balbach. He married Judith Kay (Johnson) Hudspeth June 18, 1960 in Colton, Califonria. Donald graduated from Colton High School in Colton, California in 1958. He served in the U.S. Navy from February 3, 1959 - April 30, 1992. He was HMCM - Hospital Medical Corpsman Master Chief - serving at 18 separate Duty Stations. He also received numberous medals (recently awarded, "Coordinator's Award": in appreciation of outstanding service above and beyond expectations to the KCSO Citizen on Patrol Program "COPS" November 2005. Donald served in the United States Navy for 33 years - with his last station at Bremerton, Washington Naval Hospital. He retired in 1992 as a Hospital Corpsman. He also served at C.O.P.S. of Kitsap County, Red Cross. Donald is survived by his wife - Judith (Johnson) Hudspeth of the Port Orchard, Washington family home; daughters - Alisha Dawn Hudspeth - Posey (Jerry) of Port Orchard, Washington, Krystal Kaylea Hudspeth (Matt Hovland) of Port Orchard, Washington; 3 grandchildren: Christian Lee Hudspeth - Posey, Kaylea Marie Hudspeth, Ashley Rose Hovland; special friends - Unger family of Poulsbo, Washington, Lila Hoffman and family, the Wix family, Mike and Christine Shortt, and the other residents of Red Fox Pl. as well as all of our C.O.P.S. friends.
