Donald C. Olsen, 72, of Port Orchard, WA, died August 3, 2006, at his home. He was born June 19, 1934, in Post Falls, ID, to Walter and Mary (Sampson) Olsen. Donald served in the US Airforce during the Korean War. On February 8, 1964, he married Violet (Bushemi) Olsen. Donald worked as structural ironworker for Local #1 in Chicago, IL, for 45 years until his retirement in 1997. He was a member of the Masons, VFW, and American Legion. Don adored spending time with family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Violet Olsen, of Port Orchard, WA; sons, Donald C. (Connie) Olsen, Jr., of Omaha, NE, and Gary Lockhart, of Centerview, MO; daughters, Diana Miller, of Valparaiso, IN, Char (Ed) Bundy, of Los Angeles, CA, Edi McDonald, of Los Angeles, CA, Tracie (Ed) Silich, of Hebron, IN, Connie Olsen, of Port Orchard, WA, Mary Olsen and husband Ron Brooks, of Portage, IN; brothers, John Olsen, of Redding, CA, Jack Olsen, of Indianola, WA, and Dale Olsen, of Kingston, WA; and grandchildren, Jacent Buscemi, Matthew Godsey, Jessica Supp, Christopher King, Nicholas King, Justine Supp, and Justin Bundy. A tribute ceremony honoring Donald's life will be held 2:00PM, Wednesday, August 9, 2006, at Rill's Life Tribute Center, 1151 Mitchell Ave, Port Orchard, WA 98366.
