Donna Caretti

DONNA MARLENE CARETTI (Nee: Deaton) suffered a massive heart attack on August 20, 2018 at about 9:15 pm and joined her Lord and Savior. She was born on August 27, 1939 and celebrated 60 years of a happy marriage to Louis Silvio Caretti on August 16, 2018. Donna was surrounded by family at her time of death, most notably her Grandson Louis J Wicklund and his wife who had delightedly surprised her with a visit from Mankato, MN. Her last days were numbered with smiles and happiness to have so many of her beloved family present.

Donna is survived by her husband, Louis Caretti, Her Daughter and husband, Wendy and Ray Killgore, Daughter, Adela Caretti, Grandson and wife, Louis and Kjirstyn Wicklund of Mankato, MN, Grandson, Anthony Killgore of Long Island, NY, and Granddaughter, Stephanie Killgore. She is preceded by her parents Lyle and Renata Deaton of Wallace, MI, and an infant daughter Margaret Renata Caretti.

Her family was very important to her. She continued to keep them in her thoughts and prayers when out of sight. When they were present she loved every minute with them. If she was worried about something they were doing and felt the need to advise, they would get the infamous “Grammy Lecture”.

Donna’s life was centered on her family, her God, her church, and her animals. Her Son-in-Law, Ray, says: “If there were such a thing as re-incarnation, I would want to come back as one of Donna’s animals.” That is a true depiction of the love she held for all animals big and small.

She loved and was very active in her church. Her devotion to God and family was impressively steadfast. She taught Sunday School for almost 30 years. And continued to support Vacation Bible School along with other activities until a week before her passing. She was infinitely selfless and devoted to family, friends, and animals.

Now free from years of frequent bodily aches and pains, we pray that she finds the ultimate peace and comfort in the arms of our Lord and Savior.
