Don Grant 61, of Port Orchard died Tues., Nov. 9, 2010 at Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton. Don was born May 24, 1949 in Pasco, WA to Carl and Virginia (Walton) Grant. He attended schools in Yakima, graduating from Eisenhower High School in 1967. Following graduation he entered the U.S. Marine Corps and served from 1967 to 1973. Don married the former Anice Hellums in Reno, Nevada Aug. 9, 1983. Don worked as a salesman for Case Heavy Equipment in Yakima and Auburn for 40 years. His interest included traveling, the Seahawks, his Corvette, drag racing and spending time with his many friends. Don is survived by his wife Anice of Port Orchard, three daughters Dorinda (Bob Peters) Coffman Marysville, WA, Jill (Mark) Lennartz of Selah, WA, and Jennie Morris of Pasco, WA, 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; Sister-in-law Judy Hester and father-in-law Johnnie Hellums. Don was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Virginia Grant; mother-in-law Kathleen Hellums; brother-in-law John Hester; nephew Chase Morris and a grand-daughter Kaila Grant. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Dr. Brian Kim and his staff and the nurses and staff at Harrison Medical Center, 2 West and ICU for their level of care and compassion. Memorial Service will be Saturday Nov. 13, 2010 4:30 pm at Rill’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard.
