Donovan Leonard Burton

Don Burton’s life was focused on civic leadership, the California National Guard (1948-1991) which included being Military Aid to several California Governors, along with his entrepreneurial and political activities.
He held a Master’s degree in public administration and completed a variety of military programs.
Don received many awards such as:
1. Order of California which was awarded for service to the State of California.
2. Legion of Merit for service to America
3. Numerous military awards from the State of California and the Nation.
He left behind:
• His wife: Betty
• 4 daughters: Mindy, Kim, Shawn and Tammy
• 2 step-daughters: Lisa & Susan
• 11 grandchildren
• 10 great - grandchildren
