Doris P. Boscola, 71 of Poulsbo, Washington died at Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton, Washington on December 22, 2006. She was born October 18, 1935 in Portland, Oregon to James and Sarah (Cacicia) Amato. Doris graduated from Cleveland High School in Portland, Oregon and married Robert Boscola on January 29, 1955 in Portland. He preceded her in death in 2005. Doris was a homemaker who enjoyed her family, cooking, gardening, reading, playing Bingo, traveling, and Grand Dog B.J. She was a 30 year member of the International Sorority Beta Sigma Phi; served as City Council President for two years of Port Orchard Chapters of Beta Signa Phi 1981-83; and was a member of Port Orchard Eagles #2338. She is survived by sons Robert Boscola Jr (Heidi) of Broomfield, Colorado, James Boscola of Bremerton, and Ronald Boscola (Debi) of Renton, Washington; daughters Susan Boscola (Raymond Sumlin) and Patti Cagle, both of Poulsbo, Washington; mother Sarah Amato of Portland, Oregon, sisters Diane Partain (Lee) of Washougal, Washington and Karen Pelster of Meridian, Idaho; grandchildren Brandon (Victoria) Sprout, Bradley Sprout, Sarah Boscola, Michelle & Joe Boscola, Tiffany (Scott) Marlow, Stephen (Ashley) Boscola, Robert Cagle, and Robbyn Cagle; great-grandchildren Ryan, Anjoleah, Giovanni, Ethan, and Isabella; and special friends Sami Loop, Lesli Slover, and 40 year best friend Dawn Griffey, who was with her to the end. She was preceded in death by father James Amato in 1965. Visitation is from Noon to 5:00 pm on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard. Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 28th, also at Rill's Life Tribute Center. Interment will follow at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard.
