Doris Brown

Doris Brown, 77 of Manchester, Washington died in Gig Harbor, Washington on April 5, 2008. She was born April 14, 1931 in Everett, Washington to Fred & Edna Haydock. She graduated from Bremerton High School in 1949 and married Grant G. Brown, Sr. October 30, 1954 in Bremerton. Doris worked as a Loan Officer at Kitsap Federal Credit Union and a Cashier at PJ's Market in Port Orchard. She owned Gran-D Arabrians for 25 years and was active in the International Arabian Horse Association. She was a member of the Democratic Party and Kitsap Humane Society. Surviving are husband Grant; son Grant (Elizabeth) Brown, Jr. of Port Orchard; daughters Denise (Al) Ramirez of Santa Maria, CA, Katherine Anson of College Place, WA, & Patti (Gil) Williams of Keaau, HI; sister Lucille (Dick) Carpenter of Elmer City, WA; grandchildren Gayle Wiler, Tracy Denler, Jud Fiore, Amy Fiore, Sara Brown, Austin Brown, & Catherine Ramirez; and 4 great-grandchildren. Visitation April 9, 2008 from 10:00am to 4:00pm at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard. Memorial Service at 2:00 pm on April 10th, also at Rill's Life Tribute Center.
