Doris Cote

Doris May Cote died at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, Washington on January 24, 2003. She was 63.She was born November 1, 1939 in Kremmling, Colorado to Abe Myers, Sr. and Edith (Giddings) Myers.She married Lelin Cote in Reno, Nevada on April 20, 1982.Doris was employed as a nurses aide at Washington State Veteran's Home for 20 years - retiring December of 2000.She enjoyed gardening, cooking, entertaining her grandchildren, and singing in the church choir.She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.Doris is survived by her husband, Lelin Cote, of the family home in Port Orchard, Washington; son - Donald A. Volden of Port Orchard, Washington; daughters - LaDonna Sperber of Port Townsend, Washington, Dianna Tolan and LaRane Bartlett - both of Port Orchard, Washington; brothers - Abe L. Myers, Jr. of Gig Harbor, Washington, Robert M. Myers of Olalla, Washington, and John Myers of Burley, Washington; sisters - Virginia Julian of Southworth, Washington and Clara Porter of Port Orchard, Washington. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren (Roger, Dawn, T.J., Nichole, Elizabeth, Katelynn, Britney, Donny) and 5 great-grandchildren (Marissa, Alexandra, Zia Nichole, Isaiah, Eric). She was preceded in death by: brothers - Richard H. Myers, Orville Myers, Harvey Myers and sister - Carol Myers.A memorial service will be held at Burley Bible Church (14687 Olympic Dr. S.E., Burley, WA 98322) at 4:00 p.m. on January 29, 2003.Memorial Donations may be made to:American Cancer SocietyKitsap UnitP.O.
