Doris Peterson

Doris M. Peterson, 89, died of natural causes March 25, 2011 in Port Orchard. Doris was born in Port Orchard March 27, 1922 to Roy G. and Pauline (Lillehei) Malde. She went to Highland Park Elementary and then graduated from West Seattle High School. Doris worked at Boeing for 40 years and then retired to live next to the Cedar River in Maple Valley. She enjoyed gardening very much and could make most anything grow and thrive. She had a genuine green thumb. Doris was preceded in death by her husband Howard Peterson; son Vernon Peterson; and granddaughter Josey Peterson. Doris is survived by sons Randy and Lary; sister Joyce Horman; grandchildren Kris, Mike, Jana, Jamey, Katie, and Brynn; and 4 great grandchildren.
