Doris Roach

Doris D. Roach died October 28, 2003 at Ridgemont Terrace in Port Orchard, Washington. She was 98. She was born July 19, 1905 in Blue Ridge, Missouri to John and Rosa (Kinkade) King. Doris married Oscar P. Roach September 12, 1933 in Port Orchard, Washington. She graduated from South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard, Washington. She worked at Washington Veterans Home - retiring October 1, 1971. Doris was a member of Eastern Star, of South Colby Grange, and was a charter member of South Colby Methodist Church; she enjoyed traveling, sewing, gardening, and being with children and grandchildren. She is survived by daughters - Marilyn Collins of Liberty Lake, Washington, Joan Boehme of Port Orchard, Washington; 5 grandchildren (Shauna Eggen, Mark Collins, Shannon Roselli, J.D. Boehme, Janell Boehme-Kalamar); 8 great-grandchildren. Doris was preceded in death by 6 brothers and sisters. A funeral service was held at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard, Washington on Monday, November 3, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. Interment was held at Sunset Lane Memorial Park.
