Doris Roberts of Bremerton died on her 97th birthday on Sunday Sep 22nd at Bay Pointe Retirement Community surrounded by family.
Doris was born in Roscoe MO to William and Edith (Breeden) Fullerton. The family moved to Bozeman MT where she grew up, married her childhood sweetheart, Wendell, and raised a family of three girls. Doris was an avid gardener and helped her husband in their apiary business in Fairview MT. After retirement, Doris & Wendell moved to Port Orchard in 1980 and wintered in Mesa AZ for many years.
Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Wendell of 76 years, her parents, two sisters, Patty and Gladys, brother Jack, and one grandchild, Garret. She is survived by three daughters, Rebecca (Warren) Johnson of Belfair, Peggy Evers (Bob Garai) of Bremerton, and Dona Jean (Ken) Cordell of Guistine CA, 9 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Fri. Sep 27, 2013 at 1pm at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard. Burial will be at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard. Online guest book at www.rill.com .
