Doris Welson

Mrs. Doris I. Welson, Age: 85, died on December 5, 2001 in Port Orchard, Washington. She was a former resident of Renton, Washington.Doris was born on August 11, 1916 in Champagne, Illinois to Louis and Velma(Hefferman) Dentinger. On December 2, 1941, she married Ernest Welson. He preceded her in death in 1985.Doris worked at the Boeing Company for ten years during the 1950's, and then became a Homemaker. She was a member of the Puyallup Eagles and the North Seattle Organ Club.Doris is survived by sons, Gerald Collins of Kent, Washington; Ernest ''Bud'' Welson of Eatonville, Washington; Stanley Welson of San Diego, California; daughters Carolyn Allan of Federal Way, Washington; Sandra Clark of Marysville, Washington; Velma Turpin of Yakima, Washington; Virginia Gilseth of Port Orchard; twenty one grandchildren, thirty three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.She was preceded in death by a brother, Lyle Dentinger, and a sister, Gwen Hollihan.Private Inurnment is scheduled at Evergreen Cemetery in Everett, Washington. Arrangements are under direction of Rill Chapel, Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home & Crematory.
