Dorothy Anderson

Dorothy E. Anderson, 79 of Bremerton, Washington, died April 7, 2002 at Belmont Terrace in Bremerton. She was born on May 10, 1922 in Nevada, Missouri to Delbert C. & Juanita B. (Seigel) Benskin, Sr. Dorothy graduated from Bremerton High School and graduated from Nursing School in Seattle in 1945. She married Albert Anderson on November 13, 1982 in Port Orchard, Washington. He preceded her in death in 2000.Surviving are sons Jack Smith of Olalla, Washington and Albert Smith of Poulsbo, Washington; sisters Mary Burch of Bremerton and Jonita Tederman of Sequim, Washington; brothers Bud Benskin of El Dorado Springs, Missouri and Bill Benskin of Port Orchard; sisters Evelyn Becker of Colville, Washington and Anita Buchanan of Port Orchard; 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sisters Nellie Danielson, Ida Mae Benskin, and Naomi Downard, and brothers George and Clarence Benskin.Visitation will be at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard on Thursday, April 11, 2002 from 10:00am to 5:00pm and Friday, April 12th from 9:00 to 11:00am. Funeral Service will be on Friday, April 12, 2002 at 11:00am at Rill Chapel and will be preceded by a reception from 10:00 to 11:00am. Entombment will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bremerton.
