Dorothy Haselman

Dorothy Constance Haselman, 82, of Port Orchard died of natural causes peacefully at home surrounded by family on March 9, 2008. She was born in Calgary, Alberta, CAN on February 26, 1926 to Norman and Mary Mills. She married Richard Ryan Haselman on June 1, 1944 in Edmonton, Alberta. Dorothy had a Masters Degree in Pediatric Nursing. Dorothy was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her 12 children, her husband and her many grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling, gardening and put on amazing family gatherings. She was preceded in death by a son, John Haselman. She is survived by her loving husband Richard, five sons Dick, Dave, Steve, Patrick and Carl; six daughters Diane, Linda, Connie, Colleen, Laura and Dodie; two brothers Gord and Doug; a sister Thelma; 23 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Celebration of Life service will be at Rill's Tribute Center in Port Orchard, Friday, March 14th at 5:30 pm. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her name to Alzheimer's Association C/O Orchard Pointe Memory Care Community, 300 South Kitsap Blvd, Port Orchard, WA 98366.
