Dorothy Heltemes

Dorothy Lucille Heltemes, 70 of Belfair, Washington died at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, Washington on May 9, 2001. She was born in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota on March 23, 1931 to August & Emma (Botzek) Trushenski. She graduated from Foley High School in Foley, Minnesota in 1949. Dorothy married James L. Heltemes on June 8, 1953 in St. Cloud, Minnesota. James preceded her in death in 1999.Mrs. Heltemes worked as a Cook at the Belfair Cafe in Belfair, and the Allyn Inn restaurant in Allyn, Washington. She enjoyed cake decorating and was part of the Foster Parent Program.Survivors include sons Robert & Gary Heltemes, both of Seattle, Washington; daughter Lori Edgar of Seattle; brothers Clarence Trushenski of Cass Lake, Minnesota and Eugene Trushenski of Sauk Rapids, Minnesota; and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by sisters Eleanor Nagy and Irene Trushenski, and brothers Martin, Norman & Howard Trushenski.A Memorial Mass will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Belfair on Friday, May 18, 2001 at 11:00am. Inurnment will be at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard, Washington.
