Dorothy Ann Moore, 69 of Belfair, Washington died at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, Washington on June 17, 2006. She was born on September 26, 1936 in Redcloud, Nebraska to Lyle & Alice (Bozarth) Rickard. She graduated from Bremerton High School in Bremerton, Washington in 1956. Dorothy married Leland "Swede" Moore on November 24, 1961 in Bremerton. He preceded her in death in 2000. Dorothy retired after 20 years as a Bartender and Waitress working at the Officer's Club at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and the Hearthstone Restaurant. She served as Secretary/Treasurer for the Kitsap Oldtimers Association. Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, bowling, bingo, golf, and jigsaw puzzles. She was an avid sports fan and also liked shellfishing. Surviving are her son Tom Moore of Belfair, Washington; daughters Cindy Anderson, Wendy Moore, and Kim (Curt) Orlob; brother Skip Strobel; grandchildren Olof, Abel, Luke, Austin, Marci (Braden), Justin (Lupine), Shileah, and Savannah; and great-grandchildren Nala, Taylar, and Cody. She was preceded in death by brothers Wes & Dean Rickard and Aunt Annie Strobel who raised her. Memorial service at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard on Friday, June 23, 2006 at 2:30 pm.
