Dorothy Wiley

Dorothy A. Wiley, 89, of Port Orchard, died March 25 at her residence. Dorothy was born February 11, 1921 in Shellsburg, Iowa to Clyde & Vera Nicodemus. She graduated from South Kitsap HS in 1939 and married Wm. J Wiley June 4, 1942 in Port Orchard. Dorothy was a homemaker an avid gardener and a person that loved to travel and fish. She along with her husband was very active in scouts and became a Boy Scout Den Leader.  She is survived by her husband Wm. J. Wiley; 4 sons: William W. (Linda), James M. (Jannelle), Ronald W. (Jane) Wiley all of Port Orchard & Byron N. (Lynn) Wiley of Poulsbo; 2 Brothers: Marvin (Laura) Nicodemus of Poulsbo and Kenneth Nicodemus of Ellensburg and a Sister Lerue Winkleblack of Marshall, Wa. 12 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren and 12 Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a Brother Charles.  Graveside Services will be 2pm Saturday, April 3rd at Knights of Pythias Cemetery with a reception following at the Bethel Grange. Memorials can be sent to the Knights of Pythian Sisters, 13240 Hadfield Rd SE, Olalla, Wa. 98359 in honor of her years of membership. Arrangements are with Rill’s Life Tribute Center.
