Dorothy Wilkerson

Dorothy J. Wilkerson, age 81, died July 16, 2000 in Silverdale, Washington. She was born on April 21, 1919 in Bremerton, Washington to Oliver & Laurie (Newcum) Olsen. She graduated from South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard, Washington in 1938. Dorothy married James L. Wilkerson in Port Orchard on September 6, 1941. He preceded her in death in 1995. Mrs. Wilkerson was a homemaker. She was also a member of the Waterman Circle and a Pianist. She was an active member of Elim Lutheran Church in Port Orchard. She is survived by her son John Wilkerson of Plano, Texas; daughters Laura Schuck of Port Orchard,Diana Leach of Tacoma,and Janice Goldman of Vancouver, Washington; sisters Arline McTurnal of Harstine Island and Alma Olsen of Bremerton; 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandsons. She was preceded in death by grandson Gregory and brother Oliver ''Bud'' Olsen. Visitation will be at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard on Thursday, July 20, 2000 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at Rill Chapel on Friday July 21, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard.Memorial donations may be made to Crista Shores, 1600 NW Crista Shores LN, Silverdale, WA,
