Dorothy Faye Yingling/Johnsen, 68 of Belfair, WA, died in Bremerton April 1, 2012. She was born August 10, 1943 to Albert & Arietta (Dufer) Yingling. She graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1961 and married William Scovill in San Jose, CA on September 23, 1961. Later in life she married Danny C. Johnsen on April 4, 1974 in Port Orchard. Both husbands preceded her in death. Dorothy was a homemaker and raised 4 children. She also worked from ’90 – ‘97 as a Clerk/Postal Assistant at the South Park Pharmacy in Port Orchard, and as a Clerk at Ben Franklin in Belfair from ‘82-‘87. Dorothy was an avid reader and loved classic movies. She loved the Lord with all her heart and served the sick and elderly. She enjoyed music and adored her family. She was a member of Full Gospel Assembly in Gorst, WA. Surviving are Son Robin Scovill of Los Angeles, CA; daughters Callie (Chad) Leabow of Gig Harbor, WA, Genevieve (Thomas) Loch and Lori (Joseph) Huxford, both of Belfair, WA; brothers Mel (Pat) Yingling of Allyn, WA and Ron (Kim) Yingling of Port Orchard; sister Donna Tarver of Belfair; grandchildren Lyle Harvey, Luke Huxford, Caleb Huxford, Rachel Huxford, Ariel Loch, Pasha Simpson, Charlie Scovill, Danica Simpson & Levi Loch; great-grandson Tanner Harvey. Preceded in death by granddaughters Hannah Elizabeth Loch & Eliza Jane Scovill, daughter-in-law Christine Joy Maggiore, and brother Robert Yingling and his wife Bernice. A Celebration of Dorothy’s Life will be held at 2:30pm on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Belfair Community Baptist Church, 23300 NE State Route 3 in Belfair.
