Douglas Simmons

Douglas W. Simmons III, 40 of Fife, Washington, died in a car accident on July 26, 2010.  He was born June 3, 1970 in Augsburg, Bavaria, West Germany.  He graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1988 and Ricks College in Idaho in 1995.  He also attended Brigham Young University. Douglas worked as a Commercial Seafood Diver in Washington and Alaska.  He also worked as a Real Estate Agent.  He like to travel and spend time with his daughters ice skating, boating, & jet skiing.  He was an Eagle Scout and served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Little Rock, Arkansas. Surviving are daughters Roxanne Simmons of Kaysville, UT & Margot Simmons of Des Moines, WA; parents Douglas, Jr & Gerene of Port Orchard; grandmother Louise Post of Port Orchard; brothers William (Sarah) of USAF Okinawa, N. Barry (Sarah) of Tacoma, Craig (Audra) of Olalla, WA & Dean (Ida) of Tacoma; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins.  He was preceded in death by grandparents Douglas & Betty Simmons and Norman H. Post. Funeral service at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at the LDS Church on Mullenix in Port Orchard, followed by burial at Sunset Lane Memorial Park, also in Port Orchard.
