Mr. Douglas John ''Timber'' Heay, Age:46, died at his residence in Port Orchard, Washington on September 8, 2001.He had been born in Fairbanks, Alaska on November 8, 1954 to Douglas Heay and Dixie (Richard) Heay.He graduated from Centralia High School, in Centralia, Washington in 1972. He also attended Benson Technical School in Portland, Oregon.On June 30, 1979, ''Timber'' married Suk Cha (Chin) in Gig Harbor, Washington. He was an Operating Engineer, and the owner of an automotive repair shop.He loved the outdoors, his family and friends.He is survived by his wife, Suk Cha (Chin)Heay, of the family home in Port Orchard; his mother, Dixie Heay of Port Orchard; sons Timber and Christopher Heay also of Port Orchard; one brother, James Heay of Port Orchard.Visitation for Mr. Heay is scheduled for Thursday, September 13, 2001, at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., and on Friday, September 14, 2001, at Rill Chapel, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 15, 2001, at Rill Chapel. Father Jerry McCloskey will be officiating. All arrangements are under direction of Rill Chapel, Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home & Crematory.
