Duane Silberman

Our beloved Son, Brother and Uncle Duane passed away on July 24, 2009 at Harborview Medical Center from a long term illness. Duane was born in Bremerton to Doug and Cheryl Silberman on April 29, 1966. He was a lifelong Port Orchard resident and 1985 South Kitsap High graduate.   Duane worked many years at PSNS. He is survived by his parents Douglas, Sr. and Cheryl Silberman of Port Orchard; brothers Doug Jr. (Carol, sister-in-law) of Shelton and Bill (Christie, sister-inn-law) of Belfair; nephews John, Jacob and Michael and niece Elizabeth; and by many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.  Duane loved the outdoors, especially fishing. He liked talking about football and National Parks. He also loved gardening and had a green thumb. He is loved and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.   Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at Rill’s Life Tribute Center at 11:00am with graveside ceremony following at Sunset Lane Memorial Park at 1:00pm. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Duane’s name.
