E. (Evelyn) Musette Harris, 83, loving wife, mother & friend, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 19, 2021. Musette was born in Mio, Michigan on January 11, 1938 and later was living in Flushing, Michigan, where she met and married Harold Harris on August 27, 1955.
Musette was a housewife and mother to 6 children. She had worked as a donut house employee, a factory worker at Libby’s Packing Plant in Yakima and as a worker making survival suits outside the Port Orchard area. She liked to work on puzzles of many varieties including jigsaw, crossword and 3-D. Additionally, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading lots of books, and playing bingo. She was known for collecting ‘Coca-Cola’ items, dragonflies and owls.
She loved to be at church with her friends, when she was still mobile. She was 72 years old when she enrolled in a Bible course at her church, which was 3 years long. She graduated from Faith Bible Institute (FBI) at the age of 75, where she consistently scored “A’s”. Her favorite verse in the Bible was II Timothy 2:15, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (KJV)
Musette was preceded by Harold, her husband of 52 years. She is survived by her 6 children, Edward (Lakewood, WA), Alan (North Carolina), Marvin (Port Orchard, WA), Douglas (Belfair, WA), Roger (North Dakota), Rebecca (Wisconsin), 19 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and her sister Helen.
