Earl Ronald Johnson, 88 of Port Orchard, died on February 7, 2005 at Ridgemont Terrace in Port Orchard. He was born in Sheldon, North Dakota on May 5, 1916 to Jens Johnson and Gertrude Thompson. Earl graduated from Lisbon High School in Lisbon, North Dakota in 1933 and from Wahpeton Science College in Wahpeton, North Dakota in 1936. He married Virginia E. Granum on October 11, 1940 in Beulah, North Dakota. Mr. Johnson owned and operated Johnson Electric for 36 years, retiring in 1981. He was previously the Superintendent of Dakota Power & Light in Beulah, North Dakota from 1938 to 1942. Earl enjoyed fishing, camping with his motor home, woodworking and gardening. Survivors include his wife, Virginia of Southworth, Washington; son Ron M. Johnson of Southworth, Washington, brother Gene Johnson of Mesa, Arizona; grandchildren Karren Parsons, Lance Johnson of Idaho Falls, Idaho, & Kurt Johnson of Ohio; and 6 great-grandchildren. Earl was preceded in death by son Jerry Johnson and brother Dale Johnson. Visitation will be February 9th from Noon to 5pm and February 10th & 11th from 9am to 5pm at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard. Graveside Service will be at Sunset Lane Memorial Park, Port Orchard on February 12, 2005 at 11:00am. Memorial donations may be made to Children's Hospital (Dr. A.G.
