Earl M. Larson, 82, died May 13, 2001 at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, Washington. Earl was born in Douglas, North Dakota January 23, 1919 to Andrew & Gertrude (Dunlap) Larson.Earl attended Minot Business Institute in Minot, North Dakota. Earl was a Paratroper in the Army Air Force from 1942 until 1946 where he received the Victory Medal Silver Award and the Good Conduct Medal. He later married Mary (Zaccagnin)Larson. Earl retired from Puget Sound Naval Shipyard as a shipfitter in 1972 after 25 years.Mr Larson was a member of the VFW Post 2269 of Port Orchard & enjoyed bowling.Surviving besides his wife Mary are three sons, Glen Larson of Tigard, Oregon; Kenneth Larson of Saugerties, New York; James Larson of Port Orchard, WA; brothers, Glenn Larson of Denver, Colorado; Luverne Lareson of Minot, North Dakota; Arlo Larson of Mt. Lake Terrace; sisters Alva Trueblood and Ethel Larson both of Issaquah, WA; three grandchildren & 2 great-grandchildren. Earl was preceded in death by brothers Mert, Edmond, Albert, Harlan, Clifford & Danzle; sisters Bertha, Maxine & Birdie.Visitation will be Thursday May 17th 10:00Am to 5:00PM & Friday May 18th 9:00Am to 2:00PM.Sevices will be Friday, May 18, 2001 2:00PM at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard, with interment at Haven of Rest Cemetery in Gig Harbor, WA.
