Earl L. Penor Sr.
Known to many as "Bull" or "Papa"
Born January 10, 1926, passed away November 29th, 2012 in his home. He was a retired foreman from the South Kitsap School Bus Garage where he was employed almost 20 years. Much credit can be given to Earl for the work he did as this garage was noted to be a model for Washington State during his time. He was a retired army veteran of 4 years. He served in Korea and received 3 medals. After serving his country he went to work with his father and together they were the first to ship logs by railroad from Kitsap County to the Tacoma mills. He worked as a vehicle trainer and at one point trained the famous actor "Red Buttons".
He leaves behind his loving wife Maxine Penor after 69 years of marriage, son and daughter- in- law Earl Jr. & Bernice Penor, of Benton City, WA, daughter Denice Dawson of Port Orchard, WA, daughter- in- law Connie of Kansas, brother Harry "Yank" Penor of Port Orchard, WA, sister Louise Moore of Oak Harbor, WA, 10 grand children, 34 great- grandchildren, and 14 great- great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Alex & Alma Penor, brother Alex Penor, son Richard Penor, grandchildren DeeAnna Penor,and Austin Katayama and great- grandson James Bittell Jr.
There will not be a memorial service held, but a private family potluck on December 15th @ 3 pm.
In lieu of flowers his family would prefer gift cards (Fred Myers, Walmart). Donations and cards can be sent to 3702 W. Dusty Ln. Benton City, WA 99320.
