Edna Mae Loop, age 89, died Jan. 26, 2000 in Bremerton, Washington. She was born April 21, 1910 in Vancouver, B.C., Canada to Eugene Semple and Ruby Mae (Grindrod) Young. She was raised in Shelton, Washington where she graduated from Shelton High School in 1929. She married Herbert Enzo Loop on December 31,1930 in Sequim, Washington. Mrs. Loop was a homemaker, mother and grandmother. She owned Loop's Mercantile in Hoodsport, Washington in the early 1950's. She was a member of the Eagles, Lion's Club, and Paws and Taws Square Dancing Club. She is survived by her sons Herb Loop of Port Orchard, Washington, Chris Loop of Port Orchard, David Loop of Port Ludlow, Washington, Enzo Loop of Port Orchard, Wendell Loop of Sublimity, Oregon; daughter Bess A. Olson of Port Orchard, Washington; sister Ernestine Nicklaus of Shelton, Washington; 31 grandchildren; 53 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard on January 31, 2000 at 1:30 p.m. A reception will follow the services in the hospitality room at Rill Chapel.
