Eduardo San Luis, 62, passed away at his home, on July 15, 2019 in Belfair, Washington.
He was born in Manila, Philippines. He was the son of Leopoldo and Aurora San Luis. Eddie was born 2 months premature at 3 pounds.
At the age of 9, he moved with his family to the United States. He had to learn English and graduated high school under the special education program in Bremerton, Washington. Growing up, he lived and worked at their family Fontanilla Berry Farm in Belfair. He then was employed at Skookum in Bremerton for 10 years from 2004-2014.
In 2007 Eddie was presented with an award from the Northwest Region William M. Usdane Award. This award was given to an individual with servere disabilities who has exhibited achievement and exceptional character as an employee in the AbilitlyOne Program.
Eddie is survived by his mother Aurora Fontanilla, siblings; Eloisa Leya, Frieda Fontanilla, Luis San Luis, Leopoldo San Luis, and Alfred Fontanilla. Also included are 1 brother-in-law, Ron; 3 sisters in-law, Yvonne, Ia and Sabra; 6 nephews, Sean, Joshua, Reece, Andrew, Garret, and Jacob; 4 nieces, Julia, Freya, Jamie and Kirsten; 2 great- nieces, Zoe and Payton; 2 great- nephews, Maddox and Mason.
The viewing will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Rill Chapel, 1151 Mitchell Avenue in Port Orchard.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 9:00 am at Saint Gabriel’s Church, 1150 Mitchell Avenue in Port Orchard.
