Edward Krazel

April 15, 1928 — June 19, 2008

Born on April 15, 1928, Edward Thomas Krazel Sr. was the fourth son of John and Anna (Sabol) Krazel of Youngstown, OH. Edward grew up in Youngstown and attended school there with his brothers Mike, John and Danny. He attended Holy Name Parish Catholic School and Cheney High School. He loved roller-skating, and was a wonderful dancer.  Edward went into the service when the war broke out and became a Navy Seal. He was an expert in five languages and underwater demolition in the military intelligence. After the war Edward met Dorothy Pauline Metro in Youngstown and married in 1949 to start his family. Together they had nine beautiful children, six girls and three boys.  Edward and his family moved to Southern CA, in 1957 where they established their home in Buena Park, CA. The family belonged to St. Pius V Roman Catholic Church in Buena Park were they made many lifelong friends and Edward was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He raised his children there and was a loving father and friend to all. As it happens to many families, Ed and Dorothy began to have marital difficulties and the family was hurt by the divorce of Ed and Dorothy in 1968. Determined to start again, Ed moved to Washington near Puget Sound and continued to work for government contracts. A number of years later, Ed remarried. His new wife and family gave him the joy he missed in California.
