Edward Allen Miller Sr, 75, of Port Orchard died at home on October 14, 2008. He was born January 26, 1933 in Gayville South Dakota to Joseph and Kathryn Miller. After moving to Port Orchard, he attended South Kitsap High School, joining the Army in 1951 which took him to Alaska. In 1961 he married his wife Dawn in Tacoma and they moved back to Port Orchard where they have lived for the past 46 years on Yukon Harbor. Edward worked as an Electronics Technician for 30 years at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, retiring in 1989. He was an avid football enthusiast and enjoyed traveling, stamp collecting, genealogy and his vegetable garden. Surviving are his wife Dawn; sons Edward Miller Jr and Christopher Scott Miller of Port Orchard; daughters Audrey Janes (Auston) of Edgewood and Rebecca Klaus of Snohomish; cousin Kathy Marshall; grandchildren Brandon & Lindsay Miller, Amber Atencio (Jeremiah), and April Smith (Aaron); great grandchildren Asher and HelenGrace Atencio. Visitation is 9:00am to 10:00am on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard. A Graveside service follows at 10:30am at Sunset Lane Memorial Park, also in Port Orchard.
