Edward Thomas Tress, Jr., 61, died on June 27, 2006 at his home in Port Orchard, Washington. He was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma on October 22, 1944 to Harold & Evelyn (Murphy) Rodrick. Edward married Carolyn "Kriss" Warren on April 4, 1980 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Edward retired after serving in Aircraft Maintenance for the U. S. Navy, U. S. Army National Guard, and the Air National Guard for a combined total of 22 years. He also worked as a Custodian for Sapulpa School District in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, retiring after 14 years. Mr. Tress attended Christian Life Center in Port Orchard. He enjoyed his family, friends and ministry at Washington State Veterans Home in Retsil, Washington. He liked to fish and ride his motorcycle. Surviving are his wife "Kriss"; daughters; Michelle (Bo) Hilburn of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Barbara Tress also of Okmulgee, Tonya (Mark) Traylor of Port Orchard, Lisa (Ray) Weis of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Jennifer Segroves of Cleveland, Oklahoma; brother Harold Rodrick, Jr. of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; sisters Carol (Don) Kelly and Madelyn Rodrick, both of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; 10 grandchildren; Sarah Cochran and other church family at June Rose Assembly of God in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Visitation Saturday, July 1, 2006 from 9:00 to Noon at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard, and Monday from 9:00 to 10:00am at Christian Life Center in Port Orchard. Funeral service at 10:00 am on Monday, July 3, 2006 at Christian Life Center in Port Orchard. Interment will follow the service at 12:30 pm at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to: Carolyn Tress, c/o Kitsap Bank, P.O. Box 1515, Port Orchard, WA 98366.
