Egmedio "Eggy" Florencio Bucat, 63 of Bainbridge Island, Washington died on July 3, 2006 at Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton, Washington. He was born on January 19, 1943 in Long Beach, California to Edmedio C. & Rosario L. (Lopez)Buccat. He graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1961 and attended Olympic College in Bremerton. Eggy married Susan E. Miller on October 7, 1972 on Bainbridge Island. Eggy was self-employed as a General Contractor in Kitsap County for 35 years, retiring in 1990. He also served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1964 to 1970. He was involved in evangelistic ministry and was a member of Christ Memorial Church in Poulsbo participating in the Men's Roundtable and the church choir. Eggy was the past Regional Coordinator for Royal Rangers. His life revolved around his children, grandchildren and church. He was a radiant man who will be greatly missed by many. Surviving are his wife Susan; son Anthony Bucat of Bainbridge Island; daughters Angie (Chris) Sharp of Bainbridge Island and Krista (Chris) Combs of Washougal, Washington; mother Lela Sidley of Bainbridge Island; brother Paul (Marcia Rhodes) Ganalon, Jr. of Bainbridge Island; sisters Helen Ulloa of Bainbridge Island and Geralyn (Tim) Gibson of Seattle; and grandchildren Gabriel, Grace, and Nicaia. Memorial service will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at Christ Memorial Church in Poulsbo.
