Eileen Frieda Kenney of Port Orchard, Washington died peacefully in her sleep of polmonary hypertension and Crest Syndrome complications at her home on December 11, 2003. She was born December 5, 1939 in Tacoma, Washington to Walter L. and Frieda (Sorick) Hawks. She married George L. Kenney December 5, 1959 in Port Orchard, Washington. Eileen graduated from South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard, Washington in 1958; and, graduated from Olympic College in Bremerton, Washington in 1959. She attained training as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked for 10 years as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Eileen enjoyed camping and fishing; enjoyed volunteer work with children's athletic programs; was head of Women's Billiards League for 20 years in Kitsap County; was a charter member of Ramblin Eagles RV Club. She is survived by husband - George Lester Kenney of the Port Orchard, Washington family home; son - Kevin M. Kenney of Idaho; daughter - Krista L. Kenney of Bremerton, Washington; brother - Stanley Hawks (& wife, Ruby) of Pascagoula, MS; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and aunt Grace Hawks of Port Orchard; 5 grandchildren (Amy R. Johnson, Derek L. Conway, Angel R. Platt, Devin M. Kenney, Jesse M.W. Larson). Interment will be held at Mountain View Memorial Park in Tacoma, Washington on December 19, 2003 at 1:00 p.m.
